Driving through Orlando: Colonial Dr or Lake Underhill at 4:30 on a Friday?
Hoping someone that drives this area could give me their opinion real quick... in about an hour my boyfriend will be traveling from I4 to the East end of Orlando (Avalon Park area on 50). I know the traffic is going to be killer but I'm curious.. which route do you think will be quicker as far as traffic, red lights, etc goes... Take the 50 exit and take that all the way over to Avalon Park? Or Take the Lake Underhill exit off I4 and just jump on one of the connecting roads to get on 50?
TOLL ROADS ARE NOT AN OPTION. He doesn't have a Sunpass and no cash whatsoever. If you are familiar with this area and can give me the best pick I will definitely pick best answer for 10 points. Appreciate it!

I would take 50 off I4, more lanes.... Lk Underhill is a single lane road most of the way and there is no exit for Lk Underhill from I4.

i know you mentioned no tolls
but the toll would be under 2.00 and out weigh the time and extra gas he will be burning in stop and go traffic.then going home he can do 50 as then the traffic will have calmed down.
he travel time from I-4 to where your talking will take him a good 45-60 minutes at that time of day.
