How to remove frozen ice from freezer?

By reaching into the freezer and taking it out! Haha!! Jk.

The real thing:

So I'm stupid. I filled a plastic bag with water and put it on a foil sheet into the freezer to freeze over night (was going to take that big ice package with me because I don't have ice packs to keep food cold for a few hours). Anyway, it got stuck to the freezer. Not a shelf that I can take out but the freezer itself. So I took everything out and am now defrosting the whole fridge. I unplugged it a few minutes ago.

Is this acceptable? Any suggestions?

Use a hair dryer and gently pry the bag off of the shelf. Don't get too close and melt the bag.
