Maths problem please help!!! And explain!!?

Our teacher gave this problem to us and told us to solve it for homework...... I'm finding it really difficult to solve so can someone please explain how to solve it???

Maths Problem: Daniel has $1000 000 and three friends. He leaves the money to his friends in a will in the ratio 2:3:5. How much does each friend receive?

    Right, so Daniel shares his money at the ratio 2:3:5. With ratios the first thing we do is see how many tital parts there are, here that is 2+3+5 = 10.

    Because we've figured this out, we now know the money could be split in to 10 equal parts. To find the value of each part we simply divide the total by number of parts. Here that is 1 000 000 / 10 = 100 000.

    With me so far? :)

    Next we look at how many parts each friend got. The ratio 2:3:5 tells us one friend got 2 parts, one friend got 3 parts, and one (very lucky) friend got 5 parts of the money.

    All we have to do is multiply the number of parts they got by the value we found earlier of one part:

    2 x 100 000 = $200 000

    3 x 100 000 = $300 000

    5 x 100 000 = $500 000

    So we now know how much each friend got... :)

    2/10 * 1000 000 = 200 000

    It means that 4.7 is in 2 brackets, both )) on the top is the ultimate part of both brackets because as you recognize (hopefully) all brackets start up with "(" and end with ")". there's a adverse sign up the front of a bracket. imagine of each and every - signal as a -a million, in view that multiplying via 1 million would not replace the linked fee then... -(-(-4.7)) = -a million(-a million(-4.7)) even as a form is in the front of a bracket it continuously ability multiply (remember that) so as meaning... -a million(-a million(-4.7)) = -a million*-a million*-4.7 then you could merely use multiplication to figure it out!
