ALGEBRA SOLVING MULTI-STEP EQUATIONS NEED HELP FAILING GRADE IF I GET THESE WRONG =(?

1. Solve. x – 7 > 10

x > 3

x > 7

x > 17

x > 70

2. Solve. 3x ≤ 21

x ≤ 7

x ≥ 7

x ≤ 18

x 18

3. Solve. 6n – 3 > – 18

n > –3

n > –2.5

n > –15

n > –24

4. Solve. 3s + 6 ≤ –5(s + 2)

s ≤ 11

s ≤ 12

s ≤ –5

s ≤ –2

5. Suppose you earn $7.25 per hour working part time for a florist. Write and solve an inequality to find how many full hours you must work to earn at least $125.

at least 15 hours

at least 18 hours

at least 20 hours

at least 25 hours

6. On a trip from Williamsburg, Virginia, to Orlando, Florida, a family wants to travel at least 250 miles in the first 5 hours of driving. What should their average speed be in order to meet their goal?

Tip: You always want to get x by itself.

    I'll help you with two

    1. Solve. x – 7 > 10

    x – 7 > 10

(then add 7 to 7 and 10, but 7+7 gets cancelled out.)

    +7 + 7

    = x > 17

    2. Solve. 3x ≤ 21

    (easy, what's 21 divided by 3?)

The sign is flipped when it comes to division.

EDIT: I'll help you with the rest. I'll tell you what to do.

    3. Leave 6n by itself, then do the rest.

    4. -5(s +2) multiply that, combine like terms

Not too sure about 5 and 6. Google it, I'm sure it'll say.

    Hope this somewhat helped!

locate the straightforward denominator of x/2 and x/4, which hence is 4. So, the recent equation might want to be 2x/4 + x/4 = 5 hence, 3x/4 = 5 Multiply each and every section via 4 and also you get 3x = 20 Divide via 3 and also you get x = 20/3 or 6.66666666
