To be honest ive had MANY pets over the years, some i dont remember of. ive had 2 budgies, a dog, 6 hamsters, 3 rabbits, snake, gecko and all sorts. i still have a rabbit and gecko now, the snake is my sisters.
But i think it would have had to have been the dog, and im not sure exactly why because i was only 11 so i dont remember him much, i remember the first day of getting him, my dad had dropped me, my brother and sister off after a weekend with him, and we sat down and my mum got us settled because she said she had a surprise for us. and i heard a bark from the kitchen and i was screaming cause it was a puppy, and he came sliding across out laminated flooring(:
my mum started college and we had to give the pup a home for a short time, so my uncle took him on but by the time we went to get him back, he had sold the puppy and kept the money. to this day i still miss him and talk about him, and hope hes in a happy place. So far it is that puppy.

I've had a lot of pets over the years - from the domesticated to the wild through volunteering. It'd be unfair to label one of them as my favourite but I will tell you about the one that really surprised me:
I had a ginger, albino pet rat called Clover. My previous pet rat (Rosebud) had died rather suddenly so I was a) apprehensive about owning another rat and b) Rosebud used to bite me and I've found a rat bite to be one of the most painful things I've ever experienced.
However, not once did Clover EVER bite me - her behaviour turned out to be incredibly friendly and warm to everyone she met. So much so she spent more time on my shoulder in a parrot-like way than her cage. I used to walk everywhere with her, nuzzling into my ear or sleeping behind my neck. I became extremely attached to her and, when they found a lump on her side, worried for the worst.
The lump turned out to be harmless but, according to the vet, it would be more financially viable to put her down than to pay for the removal of the lump. I was a little shocked to see a vet encourage what I can only call "unnecessary and cruel" but I refused to take their advice and paid to have the lump removed at another vets.
The lump kept coming back, but Clover was extremely brave and continued her life throughout the troubled times of having it removed/treated/open wound. It never bothered her and she lived until the ripe old age of 5 years. I was extremely heart-broken when she died as she was such a lovely pet to have.
I've had 2 more rats since having her, but now I don't feel I could ever have pet rats again. She certainly left an impression on me.

My first dog, I loved the sh!t out of her.. she was an all white german shepard (looked like a wolf) was a great guard dog but I was only a kid at the time and she was really good with kids.. she got loose more than a few times and always came back, well she was very well behaved for me and not for anyone else it made me feel important like I was the boss.. she lived to be 16yrs old I think I was about 11 when she died of old age... much better than any other pet Ive ever owned.

Well, (and this is true)., I once raised a fledgling sparrow that fell from the nest and would have died if we hadn't of hand reared it. We called him Kevin and he lived in a nest box outside our kitchen door. When ever I came home, he used to swoop out of the trees and land on my shoulder and peck at my ear. He was my boy!
The weird thing was that because he was so tame, he taught all the local sparrows to be the same and we could pretty much hand feed them all. Awesome. Then one day he just disappeared.
Broke my heart.
In all probability, a cat took him. I like to think that he met a nice lady sparrow and flew off into the sunset.

My favourite pet is my rabbit, Oreo.
He is unique, friendly, funny and hyperactive!
He is white with black dots and black ears :)
He lives in a small cage (outside) and doesn't eat too much.
The only downside about him is he escapes every now and then and his #2's smell!
Oreo brightens up my days, [and he only costed €35]

I am a 100% dog person and have owned many dogs before whom I love with all my heart, I have also owned hamsters, guinea pigs, birds, turtles, and fish. But, my absolute love of my life, is my 6 month old kitten named Fido. I love her with all of my heart and we are best friends. She follows me around, goes on my lap all the time, sleeps with me and is my shadow. She is my life and I love her so, so, so much!
