Are the ages of the people in the old testement accurate?
Like, when they state them as being over 400 and still fathering children. And if you do say "yes", why can't people live that long anymore?

No. Archeological evidence from that time period suggests it is more likely that the average life span was about 35-40 years.
(and Rumpelstiltskin didn't sleep for a hundred years either)

Yes, absolutely and totally accurate. In fact, many people in the Bible actually lived longer than it took God to create the entire universe. Go think about that little fact.

Yes it is..
Because Adam and Eve were perfect they had the opportunity to live forever. However because of their sin they lost this privilege of perfection and started to get imperfect, old age etc...
Seeing they were close to perfection they would logically had lived to an older age.. And their children living less older and so on....
Think about it, why would a tree or a turtle live older that we do now???... Surely we are more complicated than a tree... God never intended for us to grow old and die!

Folks say that in the heavens and or when we get into the heavens we will live to be that old. and as for the age of folks who lived to be that old, it is because of what was eaten herbs and whey? like one here, along came a spider and some thing about mrs tuff eating her herbs and whey? hmm? and any way they all ate figs and, now we eat anything but food. plus candy now! wt. live and be happy not sad like Bible says the rich with happy faces are not really happy! As the poor are happy while thinking of the dead folks of early years like their none living parents as such. what?

Yes, I believe so. One theory is that the climate change caused by the flood affected the life span .

No, it's all mytholocial b.s. I mean, c'mon! A talking snake persuades a naked chick to eat an apple and for that "crime" all humankind is doomed unless they eat the flesh and blood of a man who died 2,000 year ago? Give me a f**king break...

Yes, and if you read the Bible you will find the answer why we don't live that long anymore. God shortened our days.

Nothing in the OT is accurate.
