Why are guys so childish?

They expect women to shave/wax their legs, armpits, pussy's etc and basically be flawless yet they don't care even half as much about their attractiveness. If they see a woman who has stubble on her legs or something like this they get grossed out but if you wax their legs as a joke for them or pluck their eyebrows they freak out at the pain! Even though they act as though they are really macho and can protect you...wtf...! Not trying to be sexist or feminist, i'm just so confused and frustrated with teenage boys, sometimes older.

I think of myself as an open-minded guy. I don't expect a woman to do anything I'm not wiling to do myself.

To that end, I shaved my legs all winter long, I actually got really good at walking in high heels and my nails have sported all polish colors in the spectrum.

Now my wife has very little to complain about. Equal opportunity ladies.

Well I'm a guy and I prefer that my girlfriend's DON'T shave or pluck anything. I like being with a female whose body looks like a mature woman and not a 9 year old girl. I know guys like me are few and far between but that just goes to show most guys are as brainwashed as girls when it comes to that kind of thing. Not that that makes me better, just more of an accepting realist. My argument I always use when talking with other guys about it......and I have NEVER had a good comeback of any type on this......is: A guy gets stranded on a remote, deserted island from a shipwreck or plane crash. The only other survivor is a beautiful woman he has admired since the journey started. They are on the island together with only the clothes they are wearing. Figuring that they are on there for a couple of months, she's going to grow a healthy amount of hair under her arms and all the other places. Is he not going to want to have sex with her because of that? I seriously doubt it. It works both ways too. That same girl may like her guys with short hair and clean shaven faces but she's going to have to make some adjustments as well. When you put it into that kind of perspective, the whole body hair thing becomes trivial, at least to me.

Stereotyped gender. I just took a test on this today. :) Women's confidence, studies show, is more so dependent upon society. That's why some ask "Does my butt look big in these jeans?" or "What do you think of this outfit?" Because our confidence fluctuates with other's opinions. Not so much for the men. Women are expected to be well groomed and poised. Men can be well groomed but are usually not as much and slouchy.

Because of the expectations, if a woman doesn't shave her legs and wears shorts or a skirt, men may perceive her negatively as messy, dirty, unclean, unattractive. It is society's stereotyped gender roles.

Men's confidence is hardly effected by others' opinions, studies also show, unlike women. And I find that true because if my pants is wrinkled I'll be worried about what others think.

    Just society.

    Conquer what they think.

These "guys" you speak of are not real men. They are boys and you should leave them to deal with other girls. A real man respects himself and his woman. He maintains his appearance and looks good all the time. I would suggest you go after real men who are respectful and most teenage relationships aren't very serious with some exceptions for those who are more mature.

Also I wouldn't advise shaving a guys legs or tweaking eyebrows. Not because it's painful or anything but because it just doesn't look good on a guy. This is a tad bit hypocritical but guys with smooth legs just look strange and having hair is a sign of masculinity.

Your gender has brought this upon itself via marketing and advertising and through the shallow fashion industry. If you girls didn't buy into all that BS so much, then society wouldn't be the way it is.... But, society is this way and women are "expected" to maintain their body hair, and wear make-up, etc.

By the way, I know plenty of guys who spend more time in the washroom than most women, so it goes both ways too, maybe you need to start dating men who are more hygienic.
