DESPERATE PRAYER REQUEST! I'm 31 & was given the maximum of 6 months to live in January?

I'm so glad you posted this question. You have been an inspiration, a teacher, and a shining light in the murky darkness of the internet since I first met you.

My wife has been through a lot. She survived cancer at 30 and survived a traumatic child birth at 40. This weekend she faced another hurdle. And for me? It tested my faith completely.

I thought to myself, "When I was not a Christian, all the badness and carnal things I did went unnoticed by the world or even applauded. And when I did something that seemed good? Wow, it was like a parade held just for me. Now that I am Christian, this seems all reversed. All my selfless acts for my fellow man seem barely noticed. And when I slip and mess up? It is never forgotten."

I knew this was the case when God called to me. I knew the world would hate me and try to destroy me. They nailed our Lord and Savior to a cross. This is our walk.

This Friday, I did something I know you do each and every day. I told Him I could not do this any more. I had given Him my best but my best was not good enough. The pain and trials were too much. I was pulling up my hood to head back to the life that once owned me. I called on Jesus and asked Him to be my Staff.

Instantly, the Holy Spirit filled me and comforted me. I felt every stress come off of me and was convicted.

Each day you spend with us is a gift. Knowing you has been a highlight of my time online and on this earth. A dancer, a lover of children, a heart filled with song, and above all a worker for the Lord.

Response to the naysayers: Since when is asking for prayer and healing against God's will? Show me the Scriptures that tell us this. God WANTS to help His children.. what parent would not? We always pray for God's will to be done, nothing less, sometimes we just ask for a closer inspection. And we are instructed to ask for healing:

(Jas 5:14) Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

(Jas 5:15) And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

(Jas 5:16) Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Hels, sorry to hear of this diagnosis. None of us here knows how much time we have left on this earth, not a single one of us. I have asked Jesus to heal you if it be in His will. In light of the above instructions, what my understanding of the oil entails is that you buy some of the purest olive oil you can, cold-pressed virgin olive oil. Take a small amount, pour it into a separate clean vial/container etc. Not really necessary of course, just shows a little respect. Don't get caught up in any ritual or such The oil is not magical or anything of the sort, it is an act of obedience to His Word by a loving child. You can use it straight from the bottle though. Ask the Father to bless it as the oil of His people and simply place a dab of it on yourself, your forehead if you wish, and ask for a healing in Christ Jesus' name. Let His will be done.

When you dance for the Lord, you have good company, no matter where you are:

(2Sa 6:14) And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.

I am so happy to hear of you experiencing God's presence beyond measure! Surely prayers for you are being answered! Do not worry about what tomorrow will bring. Tomorrow has its own troubles. Focus on today, do what God calls you to do and let Him worry about the consequences.

I do pray that God intervenes according to His will for your life and that He grants you the closeness to Him that helps you transcend your health challenges. Thanks for the update. Regarding your trip, go as the Spirit leads. With God all things are possible.

If you feel this is what God is telling you to do, then by all means do it. Have faith in him, have faith tht he will help you. Dieing is not hard to do, we are all going to do it someday. Living is hard, but if you have faith it's so much easier. I am not one of your contacts but your question has touched my heart, even in dieing your doing God's work. I am quit sure had I know you I would have been proud to call you friend, but even better I am happy to call you a sister in Christ. You, my dear, are NOT desperate, you are assured. So, first, no fear.

If you faint, someone will help you, OK? Whatever you have lowers your

blood/your energy. I have some of that.

My time is not my own, nor yours, OK? It sounds wonderful, wise, and

of COURSE satan, the enemy will attack this. This enemy has been

attacking me for a long time, and this DRIVES me further into Our Lord,

your Lord, Helene. Allow it. Welcome it. You ARE going home. Today,

tomorrow, 6 months, 24 months? For me, 6 months, 60 months?

I believe Paul who said that going home would be 'much better'.

You wouldn't have any more harrassment from the family member.

Relax, enjoy the ride. I don't have it 'easy' health wise, either, but

so what? I'm not tortured, either, and as Paul said, I am learning that

whether I am abased or exalted, it is all the SAME. You are asked to

learn it also.
