88 cressida or 85 crx?

Ok, so I'm looking for a "new" car.

88' Toyota Cressida, with the 6M-GE. It has 170k miles and a clean title. Runs and looks decent.

85' Honda CRX, with a D15A2. It has 414k miles and a newer engine. Runs well and looks nice.

They are both close to the same price.

Only problem is, they are both Automatic.

I used to have an 87 CRX and it was awesome.

I cant decide which one to get, what do you think?

Explain.

*No "just get a newer car" Answers. I hate new bubble cars. Lawl.

? RE: I have a garage full of Civic parts (some 87 crx parts). Lol. Trying to get out of the Honda stuff, I'm bored of it. The 84'-87' CRX is still one of my favorite cars. Parts are very common for both cars and easy to get.

I would be mildly "hot rodding" and daily driving either car.

    The toyota cressida is a decent car. I personally hate the CRX and I beat on them daily in my Honda Prelude, Cressida's though I have slightly more trouble with for some reason.

    well you really got me the crx has a half million miles or close4 to that means all the other running gear trans basically everything except the has those miles the cressida has been out of production for a long time i am torn are you hot rodding get the honda if it is a daily and your not ripping around then maybe the toyota look at which one is the easiest to maintain get parts for etc i dont like the honda cause its too damn small good luck

    88-91 Honda civic HB Si 88-91 CRX all I use to own a Rex too. I miss it. Darn CA smog made me have to sell it.
