What could be causing my super painful cramps during my cycle?

The first two days of my cycle are really painful for me. No ordinary pain reliever works, only narcotic like percocet (which I am not really able to get)

I've had an abortion when I was 18 and I also was on birth control (cant remember which kind) for about a year. This has only recently been an issue for a couple years (I'm 26)

I know why the cramps are happening but I don't know what could be the reason why they are super painful (I've had to call out of work and leave work early before

Has the period been like this before abortion?

My mom is a doctor, and she says that when she was a teen and in her early 20s she had serious cramps like yours. She told me her parents had to call for doctor because she was passing out from so much pain. My mom says that those are so called "true periods", the ones that all women are SUPPOSED to have. She says that period cramps symbolizes how much estrogen your body produces and that a lot of estrogen is good because we are women.

Have you ever been told you have a tilted uterus?

I use to have extremly painful cramps and was told it was because I have a tilted uterus. Mine tilts back. Not much you can do about it and does not cause health issues that I have found. However, I did have to have my daughter by c-section because she never turned.
