How to keep a collar stiff and upright?
When I wear a sport jacket over a fitted shirt, my collars have the tendency to collapse. How do you keep a collar stiff and upright so it stays above the jacket collar?

You can buy aerosol starch spray. When your shirts come out of the laundry, just spray the collar area with the starch spray and iron over; you can spray and iron multiple times to get a stiffer collar.

Iron the collar real good in the night and don't bend it. In the morning, iron it again and wear your sports jacket and then bend the collar.

You need to go with the dog to a training center where you can work with the how to give the commands and some immediate feedback - since you seem to think that keeping him off furniture shows your control (NOT) you obviously have some other things you need to learn. Learning them away from the house with other dogs is a good thing. Find an obedience traning center and learn how to walk with your dog and sit stay etc.
