Do I need to wait for my 2010 taxes before e-filing my 2011?

I filed 2 years of taxes on the same day. My 2010 taxes obviously need to be mailed in to the IRS. My 2011 taxes can be e-filed. I mailed my 2010 taxes today but of course it will take a few days to get to the destination. Can I still efile my 2011 taxes before my 2010 taxes arrive? I live in Michigan.

Yes you can. However, if you are carrying a loss from 2010 to 2011 you my want to wait until the dust settles on your 2010 return.
