I don't know the scientific term for it but I would like to go into the field where they create and test medicines. And I'll be going to college soon but I have no idea what major this would be considered

Pharmacy is the applied health science of compounding and dispensing medicines.
BioChemistry is the science of developing new drugs. That field usually requires at least a master's degree and most professional positions will require a PhD.
