Are raccoons good to eat?

People used to hunt and eat raccoons all the time, and a lot of people still do it today. It is perfectly legal as long as you have a hunting license. Also the meat is very healthy for you.

Rabies can be a factor, but it's not as prevalent(spelling?) as you think. I could tell you how to prepare racoon, but only country racoons. There's no telling what city racoons are eating and lord knows they're breathing the same poluted air we are.

I have eaten racoon killed way out in the country. The meat has to be soaked in whole or buttermilk for at least two hours. This will tenderize the meat and take out much of the gaminess racoon has. After that, you can fry it like chicken and even make racoon gravy.

Urban racoons hide in the sewers and eat from dumpsters. Bad idea.

Yeah why not lol. People eat crazy things all the time in different cultures like roaches grasshoppers dog. I ate Balut it's a dead baby chicken.

if they don't have rabies, you could eat one. Make sure to cook those carefully though, I mean it. You really don't want worms.
