How do I cancel a friend request on Facebook?

I was looking at Facebook on my Ipod touch and accidently touched the "add as friend" icon on somebody's profile. How can I cancel the accidental friend request?

Try clicking that same button again, or go to the requests page you used to be able to cancel it that way

I am sorry to say that once the request is send, you cannot cancel it. Wait until your request is accepted then you can remove the person from your friend's list.

when you send friend request it says
friend request sent
then put the cursor over that and then an option will come
cancel friend request

Don't bother.
Everybody knows they are your facebook friends not your real friends. Having a crowd of people that you were nice enough to accept shows that you are cool.
