If you could be part of the jury that judged the ROMANS for killing Jesus...?

What would your verdict be... and what would their punishment be if you found them guilty?

There... better?

Update:

LMAO Dave... Got chewed out when I said Jews in the first question.

The roman leader Pilot tried every way he could think of to release Jesus but the Jewish religious leaders had brought false accusations and got the crowd worked up into a frenzy, he also asked the Jews is this your king and they told him we have no king but Caesar. Pilot took a bowl of water and washed his hands before the crowd and said "I am innocent of the blood of this man". Jesus was murdered by the religious leaders of his day. However what they did has no bearing on the Jews of today because although they lost their birth right through their lineage they can receive the promise by their personal relationship with God. Since Jesus became a living sacrifice to all of human kind we no longer under the mosaic law. (that is why we don't have to offer up gift offerings for our sins or 10% of our income.

It's hard to say. The Romans only ever crucified political prisoners (no mere thief - Barabbas - could have been on a cross next to Jesus), so it leaves us to wonder about Jesus' other activities. At least one of his disciples (Simon) was clearly a member of a seditious group, the Zealots. Judas may have been as well, since they had a militant group called the Sicarii ("men of the dagger") led by an "Iscariot," a title associated with Judas in the Bible. Perhaps, as the avowed leader of these men, Jesus was crucified as a dissident.

We can't judge that by today's standards.

Roman soldiers were "just following orders"

the Roman culture was one of the most violent, systematically cruel and inhumane culture in history

their "punishment" should be to magically become the ideal ( not reality) Jesus teaching and "love one another" thier feeling of guilt and remorse would be punishment enough

Source(s): Christianity is a good idea, somebody should try it someday

I'd have to find out more facts, but it sounded to me like they had him down on sedition, which has been punished by death in numerous states throughout history. Rome had a lot more things to worry about if it were to be judged on the past than simply crucifying a few heretics/traitors.

The Romans were the strongest force around at the time. So no one would have been able to judge them.

To be honest, if Rome were to go on trial it would be for far worse things than allegedly letting a couple of Rabbi's kill a troublesome cult leader!

The Romans still aren't responsible. YOU ARE.

According to the story, it was everyone's fault for sinning, and God's plan for our salvation?

They were just doing their job carrying out a legal execution.
