Simplify this rational expression?

The expression is

b^3-ab^2

over

ab-b^2

Now i did the math myself and came up with -b, and I was wondering if that was the correct answer, if you say yes or no i wont give you best answer, so explain yourself please...

Update:

Another one-

Bonus love for anyone who answers this as well, so i can check my work-

Simplify

2x^2(x^2+4)(y-3)

over

8xy^2(3-y)(x^2+4)

Now i know the x^2 + 4 cancels right away, so please explain further rather than leaving me hanging

Update 2:

I will have a new question with more problems later so stay tuned =)

-b is right. I plugged in 2 for a, and 3 for b. I then simplified and got -3 which is -b. Try plugging numbers in for the variables.
