If my Capital One MasterCard was stolen, how would someone be getting cash advances on it without a pin?

My wallet was stolen over the weekend and the scumbag maxed out my cards. They made several cash advances against my Capital One MasterCard. What I don't understand is how they were able to do this when I never set up a pin. Don't you need a pin to do this? Not sure how the process works since I've never used this feature on any of my cards. If someone could explain it to me I'd appreciate it. Thanks

You should report to capital one that your card was stole as soon as you didn't find it. DON'T need to wait.

Yes you can get a cash advance with your mastercard credit card. You start paying interest as soon as you get the money on a cash advance. The interest really adds up. Try not to take advange of this, it will cost you big time in the long run.

They might be doing it in person at the bank. You only need a PIN if you're doing it at an ATM.
