called ":Butter Beer" or was that just made up for the Harry Potter series? We have root beer in the United States, but I've never heard of Butter Beer. Thank you neighbors1

'There was a drink in Tudor England called butter beer.
It was a mix of beer, eggs, sugar, butter & nutmeg.
Basically beer was warmed until it just started to boil, then off the heat, whisked egg yolks, sugar & nutmeg were added .
Return to a low heat for a minute or two then take off again and whisk in butter.'
