Why are some Americans so racist?

Americans are not as racist as you have been led to believe. Especially if you look at younger generations, and by that I mean anyone younger than the baby boomers.

Mexicans are not a race; they are a nationality. I have personal experience with people at McDonald's and other businesses not understanding English very well. This is a fact and it's not "racist" to say so. Anyone wishing to do business with the general public in any country should learn the language first.

I agree with you about the drugs. It's demand driven, but the government won't do anything about it because possession is only a slap on the wrist. And it's becoming less and less "politically correct" to prosecute users all the time.

Anyway to generalize that "white" people are racist is ludicrous because it's a gross generalization, and would also be a terrible mischaracterization if only there were any actual "white" people, but there aren't because race is only a construct of feeble minded people to make themselves feel superior.

Most of the real racism is actually manufactured by the left in order to perpetuate the myth that the Democrat party is there to help protect minorities from racism. The knight needs to convince people that the dragon still lives in order to keep his job.

not all white people are racist. a lot of hispanic and black people are racist too. it depends on who the person is. ur question is racist b/c ur talking about white people in a whole, whereas it was just one person, and not all white people are racist. Before u call others racist, think about if the way u r saying it is racist. Americans are actually extremely non-racist, if u ask me. U should go to some places in europe, then u can say racist and yes, that was very racist, no excuses, b.c the other lady didnt get to give excuses either

I'm a white guy and in my younger years I had jobs doing yards, picking fruit, and working construction. All those jobs got taken over by Mexicans because they were willing to work cheaper not because whites are lazy. In your question (which is actually just an opinion) you stereotyped white Americans. Notice how the first few answers you received from non-whites immediately labeled whites as racists. That's the label that has been put on us thanks to history being taught in a watered down way leaving specific information out. Targeting one race as the racists gives others license to assault, rape, and murder us which is starting to occur more and more often. Before you start calling white Americans racists take a look at alternative information rather than always the main stream. You may be surprised to discover who the real racists are.

Unfortunately their country was built on a slave run economy. This coupled with it being a place for immigrants from all over the world has led to a culture of superiority. It seems that the less time your family have lived in the country the less respect you get.

And of course if your family have lived there forever you get even less respect. The more generations of a family that live in America the more of a sense of entitlement they get and feel that others should not be able to follow in their footsteps.

Without a constant influx of immigrants they would not have much of a country but they hate to admit this. Older nations seem to be more tolerant

The question should be y are some people so racist. U will find racist and mean people in every country as well as people who are so nice that they would make u believe that angle do exist.

Racism is ALL OVER the world... Not just this amazing country. Whites are not nearly as racist as blacks and mexicans are (oops... was that racist? I hear the race card coming). Most blacks are still blaming whites about slavery when in fact it was the blacks enslaving their own people. History books just won't show that side of the truth. Iran, Iraq, Afghan, etc. are so much more racist than the U.S. is. I'm proud to be an educated white conservative male.

EDIT: There is also no such thing as African-American... The average black person has no African in them since their African counterpart was SO MANY years ago... They're black.

Because Americans in general are brainwashed group thinkers who don´t read deeply into things.

This is the great country that needs to put warning labels on hammers so the hammer companies don´t get sued, and put "Contents are hot" warnings on coffee cups. The land where fat people sue fast food companies for making them fat.

rascists probably dont even know why they are rascist. lack of understanding other cultures. maybe they dont like someone different to themselves.

I really to hate to pop your bubble, but as an American who has lived about half of his life in other countries I can assure you that your basic premise is wrong. The racial animus and racism in the US is far, far less than almost every other country in the world. That explains, in part, why the US is far and away the number one country that non-white people emigrate to.
