Why do jehovah witnesses deny Christ?

MIGHTY (El Gibbor) OR ALMIGHTY (El Shaddai)

Jehovah's Witnesses are famous for making fun of Trinitarians, while they promote a dualistic deity, having two separate Gods. In Jn.1:1. Jehovah is the Almighty and a secondary mighty one that he has made, who is Michael the Arch- angel is the God he made all things through. The Bible never refers to God in this manner and declares throughout there is only one God. Isa.10:20-21 tells us Israel will rely on the LORD the Holy one of Israel… they will return to the Mighty God". Even Mary calls God mighty in Lk.1:49. Jer.32:17-18 tells us," the mighty God whose name is the LORD of hosts". This is the same mighty God in Isa.9:6 that the Son is called. So if mighty means lesser, then Jehovah himself is a lesser God. Yet the JW's would never take this position of Jehovah being a lesser God. The Bible points out that mighty and almighty are descriptions of the same being who is God.

Ask a Jehovah Witness how does a creature become a God? If God is eternal and all powerful and omniscient, how can a angel become that? Their answer is usually accompanied with a puzzled blank face. This does not stop them from continuing to lean on their rhetoric that they have been trained in. Even if the Father wanted to give it to an angel, he can never become that which is uncreated . The point is God cannot duplicate himself in a creature and make them into a nature like himself. Because all creatures are non eternal and he is eternal, in this category there are no takers.

Despite inventing non-existent biblical categories of almighty and mighty, we see Jesus define what the Scripture means. He considered himself equal to God which is blasphemy for a creature.(Phil.2:5-8 he existed in the form of God before the incarnation) Certainly he would lose Gods approval with a spiritual mutiny like this. A claim of this magnitude has not been seen since another angel fell early on in history. But God did give him his approval in every way and blessed his Son, who made these so called grandiose claims. Why? Because they are true and he has every right to say them. Before Abraham was I AM. (not I was)

While they deny believing in multiple Gods there is no other alternative to take if Jesus is a mighty God. What kind of a god is this that went out of existence when he died?

J.W did not always subscribe to the view of Jesus being only a mighty God." [Say] saying even so, lord God almighty.- the Lord Jesus Rev.1:8; Jn.5:22; Mt.28:18.(the Finished Mystery pg. 240 1917)

We think it has been shown that the Christ of the Scriptures is compound being, Divine and human. (Watchtower, 11/1880, p. 6, Reprints, p. 160).This did not last long as the light became brighter their former truth was discarded.

"So again note that Jesus never spoke of himself as God or called himself God. He always put himself below God rather than on an equality with God." (THE WORD - WHO IS HE? p. 40)When we look at the Jehovah's Witnesses quotes they have a strange affinity to spiritistic writings.

"Christ was therefore the Son of God, and claimed to be nothing more. He was not the Deity. Not once did He say:' I am God'. " (Johannes Greber COMMUNICATION WITH THE SPIRIT WORLD p. 330) Greber was medium and this is what he was taught by the spirits.

"At that time you were told that Christ is the highest of the spirits created by God and the sole one to be created directly." (Communication with the Spirit World p. 301) Why the similarity? Could it be they are from the same source, the Spirit realm!

They have even admitted later "Very plainly the spirits in which ex-priest Greber believes helped him in his translation." (WT 2/15/1956, pp. 110-111)

"Yes, we believe our Lord Jesus while on earth was really worshipped, and properly so. While he was not the God, Jehovah, he was a God." (Watchtower 7/15/1898, p. 2337) So was this false worship or true worship?

He, being the Creator, existed before any other gods, and all false gods will be wiped out so that there will be none existing after him." (Aid to Bible Understanding, pp. 665-666; emphasis mine). If there is only one God and Jesus is not the God then what happens to him?

Jer.10:11 says," The God’s that have not made heaven and earth will perish." If Jesus is not the creator its goodbye to him and any other new God that comes along.

Israel was strictly monotheistic (Duet.6:4). There are no lesser beings called God. If Jn.1:1 means their is a mighty and an almighty Why does God know of no other God formed, are you smarter than he? Mighty and almighty describe the same being.

Isaiah 43:10: "No God was formed before me, nor will be after me. I, I am Jehovah, and there is no other Savior but me." Isn’t Jesus the savior? God knows of no other Gods yet Jesus is suppose to be another God!

Jehovah says Isaiah 44:6: "I am th

It's hard for me to understand why someone would resist the Holy Spirit's presence becomes void to a person who's heart has become hardened, but it happens all the time.

In terms of the Holy Spirit dealing with a person who hardened their heart:

God certainly wants all of us to come to him. On the other hand, the Holy Spirit can be grieved by a person who continued to resist his leading. The consequences of that can be disastrous.

Jesus told the apostles to go and preach the Word, but He did not expect them to stay anywhere until every single last person had been converted, so there will come a time when people will stop trying to talk about Christ to a person with a hardened bitter heart.

The Holy spirit is a gentleman, unlike us, He does not argue, is not hostile and may cease leading the person with the hardened heart. At that point the PERSON HIMSELF has totally, completely, and absolutely hardened themselves to the gospel.

They may be rational, or irrational, but there are scriptural reasons to believe that some people are willingly immune to the influence of the Holy Spirit. This they did THEMSELVES by continually resisting the things of God.

God has promised wisdom to us if we ask.

Pamela, it's not that Jehovah Witnesses don't [believe] in Jesus. They believe he was a 'different' person than what the Holy Bible tells us he is. They have a different Bible than we Christians have, it's called " The New World Translation " it has been altered to fit their theology.

    1. They believe that Jesus was [not] there at the time of creation: John 1:1-2 " In the beginning was the word [Jesus], the word was with God, the word was God. He was with God in the beginning." and again in John 8:58 " Jesus was before Abraham."

    2. They believe Jesus 'rule began' in 1914. If that was even remotely true, how do they explain all the scriptures teaching otherwise? Matthew 3:13 " Jesus goes to John the Baptist at the Jordan River and begins his ministry."

    3. They believe that God the Father and Jesus the son are [two] distinct persons. Jesus reveals that God the Father and God the son are one. John 14:8-11, John 10:30, John 1:1-5, John 1:18, John 20:28, Romans 9"5, Hebrews 1:8, and Titus 2:13

    4. Jehovah's Witnesses [do not] believe in the Holy Spirit. I'll make note on just one scripture out of many. Matthew 12:31-32 " Every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven man but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven, anyone who speaks against the son of man [Jesus] will be forgiven but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven in this age or the next."

If I professed to be a Jehovah's Witness I would be felling a bit uncomfortable right now.

We do not deny Christ Jesus if all the proof people have is by going off of rumored things or listening to someone telling stories would we ever be getting the full clarity of anything or the full and utter truth a lot of people have a bad word to say about the witnesses but if it is because of some thing they have heard for years or all their lives because of something someone else said to them that someone else told that person that someone told that person so on and so on. How could anyone rely on that ? Every person it passes through to get to the next person it gets twisted a little every time it passes to that next person. My mother-n-law always said believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see a very good piece of advice I have learned over time! I go by nothing people say especially when they are bad mouthing someone or some thing I go by my own self proof through my own research. Anyone wants to find out for themselves find the nearest Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah's Witnesses and attend some meetings and look into the bible (and it doesn't have to be the New World Translation use your own bible it is all the same) the only difference is that it is in plainly written words and so easy to understand it. There is a site on here as well www.jw.org it is awesome. Please try it out. go to a meeting or a couple and get to know some witnesses start a bible study and then see with your own eyes instead of looking through some else's eyes, hear with your own ears instead of through someone else's ears and let your own heart be the judge not feeling what someone else's heart feels!

Jehovah’s Witnesses do believe he was a spirit creature. This is rather difficult to support though, considering the great length Jesus went through to show that he did have a physical body, such as in Luke 24:27-42. The explanation then is that Jesus’ body literally dissolved, which has no biblical backing. One of their arguments, which makes little sense is how could Jesus enter a locked room if he had a physical body? Well I was under the impression that Jesus could do anything, even miraculous things. Why cannot Jesus defy the laws of nature with a physical body? Jesus walked on water, yet Jehovah’s Witnesses believe he had a physical body then. Even Peter, a completely human, completely physical person, walked on water. If Jesus can walk on water, he can just as easily walk through walls. It makes more sense than thinking he materialized a new body every time he appeared. This is a dangerous thing to believe though. If when Jesus died, he became a spiritual creature, leaving his physical body behind, and if he only took on flesh for a short time, summoning bodies from the air, then how can we say he was truly resurrected from the dead? He never truly became alive again. A living, physical creature cannot step in and out of bodies at will. When an angel takes on bodily form to deliver a message, does it become “alive”, and then when it returns to heaven does it “die”? If Jesus was not resurrected from the dead, then we are all in trouble. 1 Corinthians 15:12-19: “12But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. 15More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. 16For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. 17And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. 18Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. 19If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men.”

Pamela you scare them. Your avatar scares them and your knowledge of the bible scares them.

Anyone outside the cult of jw who reads the New Testament (jw prefer Greek scriptures) will attest exactly what you proclaim. The context of those 27 books from Mathew to Revelation is all about Jesus Christ, all about the worship of him. Not the worship of Jehovah simply Jesus.

The jw leadership have put the emphasis on the wrong personage. Even excluding millions of members the benefits of even reading about what Jesus followers should do. They do not allow all 7.5 million to partake of the meal of bread and wine in remembrance of him. They teach that those 27 books only apply to approx 11,000 members who claim to be spirit anointed christians among the 7.5 million. So why even read the 'Greek Scriptures' if not a word of it applies to you. Instead they have done with the Greek what they have done with Hebrew scriptures, cherry picked the verses that support their view, or doctrinal positions.

They have even admitted that if you read the bible by itself, you will no longer believe their teachings. Enough said.

. . .apostate's? ...followers of ((men)) ?....Leaven of the Pharisee's?...AC?...willful ignorance??

O wait I know...under the influence of a fallen angel appearing as an angel of light ??!!!!

Darkness hates light and can only pretend the light is getting brighter.

"God is light and in him is no darkness at all"- 1John 1:5

"That was the true light, which lights every man that comes into the world"- John 1:9

'Then spoke Jesus to them saying, I am the light of the world, he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life"- John 8:12

The light gets no brighter than Jesus.

They will confess that they do not belong to Jesus. They will tell you that they belong to a word that was never spoken once by Jesus or anyone else in the bible.Their handlers deceive them into thinking Jesus is an angel. Angels can not rebuke the wicked one.

    "Jesus rebuked the devil"-Matthew 17:18

"Yet Michael the archangel, while contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee"- Jude 9

Pray for them. They are lost without Jesus and are under a dark influence that keeps them blind & deaf.

Jesus claimed he came only for the Lost souls of Israel.

Matthew 24:4-8, Mark 13;5-7 and Luke 21:7-11 will tell what Jesus is saying about those who will preach in his name.

Deuteronomy24:16, Ezekiel 18 and Jeremiah 31:30 will further prove to you that Jesus' coming has nothing to do with saving people of the world except that of a mission to bring Israel back to it Old Tradition and away from Rome's influence.

Isaiah 14:12-17 talks about the man who is known to be good but those who came to Hades before him were all astonished to see him also becoming weak. He is the man who said he will sit among in the high heavens among the Gods '(Matthew 26:64 & Mark 14:62) He is called Lucifer, son of the Dawn. The name Lucifer means "Morning Star" and "Son of the Dawn" means Son of a young woman. In Isaiah 14:14-17, instead of saying that Lucifer (Morning Star) is an angel who rebelled against God, it says clearly that he was a man who made the earth tremble.

In Revelation 22:16 someone you know claimed he is the "Bright Morning Star" and he is not God's Son but a son from the family of David.

Draw you own conclusion there my friend.

We do believe in Jesus, but we don't think he is god. Although the bible says that he is god(like), he is not THE ALMIGHTY GOD, Jehovah. We believe that Jehovah is god, and that Jesus is his son.

Jesus was with god in the beginning, in fact the bible says that Jehovah gave Jesus the instructions on how to make everything, Jehovah supplied the power to his son, Jesus so that he could do this.

However, we do not believe that God, Jesus, and the holy spirit are one.

In John 14:28, Jesus says to his disciples that the father, his father, is greater than him.

Why would Jesus refer to himself as his own father? How could he be greater than himself? Why would he talk in third person? One simple answer, Jesus was referring to his father, Jehovah God.

Furthermore, the holy spirit is not a person, or a living creature. The holy spirit is God's power, it is his literal power. Do you consider your strength (or power) to be another person? Is your strength another person simply hiding within you? No. Then why would it be reasonable to think that God's power, his holy spirit, are 2 different people?

And just to clear things up even more, we love Jesus, Jehovah's son, so much that we commemorate his death every year, just the way he told us to in Luke 22:19, 20. (feel free to read the context).

If you want to join your local congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, feel free to contact me/them.

    I hope this helps.

Just read these scriptures and you will see

    [John 8:58]

Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am

    [John 8:24]

Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.

    [John 5:23]

That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him

    [Hebrews 10:26]

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins

JW is a cult, not a religion. The difference is in how a suddenly a revelation is expressed and runs contrary to existing belief. Usually it's how a book appears. Mormonism, scientology, islam, christian science--little difference. With JW, it's a "revelation". With a revelation, it's whatever suits the leader. That's what makes a cult. You should read Mark Twain's piece on christian science to become more familiar with how a cult operates:
