Is the Band Disturbed Satanic?
My mom always tells me [no you cant listen to them, because they are satanists and worship the devil !!! ) And i reply "Heck no they dont they are just dark and have alot of problems revovling around them! " She says all of the album covers have "devils" on them and I tell her they are just gargoyals, because they are grey statues, and they dont have horns" she also said the album Believe had 2 pentagrams and devil horns on the top. Again, I replied Thats because the album ENCOURAGES you to NEVER GIVE UP on what you believe in, showing all of the major religions, and calling it believe - christian cross in the middle, Jewish star of david, wiccan penticle (yes witch pentegram, its one of the major religions) and Islamic moon on the top turned sideways to make everything look even. If you really think they practice satanism please tell me why. If you agree with me that they are just dark, and have a good understanding of world issues, then say that and tell me why. Thanks

No, that's Black Metal. There are a lot of Satanic bands, mostly from Norway, but not all Metal is Satanic and Disturbed certainly aren't. I've always read that the members of the band are Jewish, Christian, Wiccan and Muslim (I'm pretty sure that David is Jewish, I don't know about the others), which is why their symbol incorporates all of the religious symbols. It's meant to show that music should be universal and shouldn't have boundaries like religion. It represents harmony, much like the popular "coexist" bumper sticker"...

They aren't against Christianity at all. If anything, they may just be against the closed-minded idea that Christianity is the only "real" religion and that every other religion is wrong, or whatever. But, really, I think they just stand for coexistance.

Like I say every time someone asks something like this: Go in your room, lock the door, and blast some real Satanic music. You give too much of a fvck about what people think of your music, that's not a good thing. There will always be someone who doesn't like it. Too damn bad for them.
Edit: And no, they most certainly are not Satanic.

first of all BURZUM is NOT Satanic and Varg has said so himself a million times. and disturbed I doubt are satanic as well. BTW have your mom read the Satanic Bible as I want to know why she is against it? I really do. It teaches you to love life, kids, animals and the law. if your mom is agaisnt that then she is sick!!

Lol, hell no. They are pretty far away from satanic. Show her Burzum lyrics compared to Distrubed lyrics, and then ask her if she thinks Disturbed are satanic
