University of North Texas Denton or University of Houston?

I dont know what I want to major in yet, but it will probably Broadcast Journalism

    Both very fine schools -

    UNT has an outstanding music department.

    Houston has a distinguished Engineering school.

    For Broadcast Journalism, it is a toss-up. Apply to both and if both admit you, run the numbers and see which will leave you with less debt after 4 years.

    I would certainly prefer Houston as a place to live while I was in college. There are virtually no jobs available in broadcast journalism, any other area of journalism, or any other area of broadcasting. Best wishes.

    I am from the North Texas area and go to UH and I love it! The communications building was actually just renovated, as well...so a great program just became better, in my opinion. Also, the city of Houston itself is fantastic. There are things you have to deal with, such as traffic, but it really has a lot to offer and there is never a dull moment.
