Is WilliamB cheating?

I'm only asking the question, not convicting. I've noticed him receiving many thumbs down ratings to his answers and yet he is continually voted best answer, usually by 7 votes.

    Yep

LVskinsfan - the rock solid evidence you provided indicates his concerns four years ago. He now can get his thumbs up ratings, at least six or seven, with his multiple accounts.

I have used his exact answer "yep" and source "old timer" on occasion and he was selected Best Answer by six votes. Unless he could identify his answer shouldn't the vote been more like 3 to 3?

The only way he has not received Best Answer on his answers recently has been if the asker selected the best answer as suggested by SolidAxle. His accuracy has increased from 33% to 35% as a result of his increased voting.

It really is a shame that he has made a farce of the intent of Yahoo Answers. He has made it a joke and has turned away many answers. If I do see the need to answer or correct one of his answers, and if the Best Answer is not selected by the asker, I try to delete my answer prior to the question being subjected to his seven votes.

He has every right to provide all the incorrect and offensive answers that he wants to make. And he has the right to vote, ONE TIME, for all of his answers. Six and seven votes I believe would be cheating.

I have suggested that Yahoo review some of his answers and check out his accounts, but Yahoo appears to be impressed with his operation and will not take any action. Who is really incorrect here, WB or Yahoo for lack of action?

I have also suggested in the past that there may be more than eight or ten of us that have had enough of WB. How about some help voting his answers down? If we can use the thumbs up and down ratings as a guide, I believe either we would be successful or we would create a whole lot of work for him.

    Thanks for asking O.J.

Aw, you're being hard on the guy. (wink, wink)

He obviously comes from a large and tight knit family and veryone votes for him. Or, he himself is the large family, as in multiple personalities!

Do you remember a movie called Sybill? Or something like that. About a woman with 17 different personalities! Maybe William is her son! LOL

I wonder, is it possible to include a note (at the end of an answer) to the person asking a question to Please vote Best Answer rather than let it go to Public vote?

Now then, just in case he reads this.

What do you have to say WilliamB. Are you cheating? Or do you just have your very own fan club?

OJ, you directed us to a page containing WB's last 20 questions. If you'll look at his next 60 questions, that's 80 in all, you'll see an incredible result. Out of his last 80 answers, the asker has chosen a best answer 23 times, none of them are for WB's answer. In the cases of the other 57 answers, WB was voted best answer 56 of the 57 times. In the only case where he wasn't, Lar out voted him by a score of 8 to 7. In every question that went to a vote, WB received 7 votes and in 56 instances, 7 votes were enough to win. Ironic isn't it.

Of course he is, everybody listed "top answerers" is. Anytime one of those appear I delete my answer from the question, the sad part is they often vote themself best answer when they doesn't actually answer the question.

If you are serious about getting a high average you have to delete your answer when the trolls appears.

Then right click over the trolls icon and "copy link location", then try to send an email to the asker sending the link you just copied. Recommending they review the answers by the troll, and then select a best answer rather than letting it go to the troll. It's too bad Yahoo doesn't review IP sources from the top 10 answerers.

Source(s): Additional comment in response to pipestrangler: I was referring to the list of "Top Answerers in Home and Garden", not the "Top Contributor" badge below your icon, those people have 5000+ trolls

Strange isnt it. The quality of many of the answers given leaves much to be desired and to get a best as well for it!!!!!!!. By the way not all top answerers cheat, my rating as such seems to have disappeared again presumably due to a weeks holiday but I most certainly do not cheat.
