In pain, xray, and ct scans are normal?

I am having very bad pains in my growing (right side) about where my thigh and growing meet- hip area. The pains is in my lower back, right buttock, and down the outside of my right leg into my knee. The x rays/ct scans have come back normal, and the doctor has yet to figure out what is wrong. When I walk I feel something pulling in my growing area followed by a sharp pain that shoots from the above mentioned areas. The pain is persistent and dull, except for when I walk/move it shoots. All the doctor is doing is giving me pain medicine and muscle relaxers, none of which are helping very much.

Has somebody you know or even yourself experienced such issues? If so, what ended up being the problem?

Update:

Yes, sorry, I did not notice that it was misspelled. The doctor had suggested that I pulled a muscle but the time that this has been going on is in excess of 2 months.

Update 2:

I am 23/ male/ and I had a very high level of activity before all of this. Also, probably not related, but I quit smoking about 2 weeks before this started.

Not knowing your age or level of activity. In teens, I would evaluate the possibility of a stress fracture or injury to the growth center in the hip bone. A bone scan or MRI would show this well.

I think by "growing" you must mean groin,

but the area you are describing is not the groin.

the groin is the area between the upper legs (near the "jewels").

what you describing sounds like maybe sciatica, which is caused by a problem in the spine.

It's not uncommon, so since your doctor hasn't investigated it makes me doubt it's your problem.

The "shooting" type pain when you walk sounds like sciatica.

Have you considered seeing a physiotherapist or trying Bowen Therapy?

I'm guessing you mean the pain is in your GROIN.

    You probably pulled a muscle.
