Is the Buddhist teaching ‘do no hard to sentient beings’ in favour of stem cell research,?

since there is no sentience in an embryo until a considerable amount of develop occurs?

Is the destruction of embryos - in your opinion - justified by the potential developments that could greatly reduce suffering?

or is the very destruction of them like killing someone/thing?

(any other personal justification as to yes/no regarding the destruction of embryos for stem cell research is welcome)

hopefully this question is worded a little better

    Great question, unintended consequences.

All you asked is "From what I have written, can you tell I know nothing of stem cell research?"

"personal justification" is not a reason to do/not do science.

Why do you assume "the destruction of embryos" is necessary for stem cell research?

The "destruction of embryos" is not needed to do stem cell research anymore. Please join the 21st Century.

google stem cell research as it does not involve actual embryos. It uses non-specialised cells, it is embryonic cells, ie, before cells become specialised, when they are still young cells. We don't use foetuses or anything as gruesome as that.

You mean sapience, not sentience. Please learn English.
