Can I plant this onion? ?
I bought a bag of onions a few weeks ago and one of them sprouted about 5 stalks from the bulb. Can I plant the onion and grow onions from it?

A sprouted onion will not make another onion but you can have green onion tops from it if you wish. You need to plant onion seeds which are adaptable to your area in the fall and transplant the young seedlings in the garden in mid to late winter. Onions are a bi-annual which makes a bulb one season and a seed head the next. In some climates all of that can occur the same year. Plant the sprouted onion in the garden. It will make a nice plant but no onion. You might even get a seed head and from that save the seeds for next season. Good luck
