Christians, how can god possibly exist?

I've asked a similar question that you can check out for more evidence, but I would like to go into detail: why, if god is supposedly loving, does he damn people to hell for eternity? There is no love involve if you kill someone for not reading the bible

Similarly, why has religion caused so many problems throughout history? If you count all the people killed because of the revolutionary war, civil war, both world wars and the holocaust, more people have been killed over religion than anything else in history?

And finally, think about all the gods you reject. What makes Alah more real than your Christian god, or Ra any more real than Zeus?

It seems to me much more likely that God would exist than you would - yet here you are !

There is One God. The question is, who is rightly perceiving Him?

Thats why religion is called belief, if there was actually a single scrap of evidence that god does exists it would be called knowledge. Unfortunately, some people can't seem to be able to function without the idea that there is a power above all of us and fear the idea of death as the end so much they have to invent an idea that something exists after it and thats generally where religion comes from.

Also I have perfectly tangible evidence that Zeus exists. It's right here in my bookshelf...

EDIT: I've always wondered about that, how is it just to commit someone to an eternity of infinite punishment (sent to hell) for a finite amount of wrong doings in life. Doesn't make sense unless your a sociopath.

    >.>... obviously you didn't study history very well.... if you will allow me a moment, i will educate you.

the revolutionary war was fought between the "13 colonies" of what is now known as the united states of america and the country great britain, for political autonomy (that is to say, the colonies wanted to rule themselves, the british did not like that very much.)

the civil war started because the north decided it did not like some things the south was doing at the time, and started pushing to change the south. The south did not like this, so it started pushing back. eventually that turned into a full blown war... no religion involved really

"If God is supposedly loving, does He damn people to hell for eternity?" I'll answer this question with all honesty. God does indeed allow some people to go to hell and others are taken to heaven. But this does not make Him a cruel tyrant. Imagine this scenario- you have a very close friend whom you've known since you were very small. You trust this friend with everything and tell him/her things you don't tell anyone else. You get to your 20s and discover that this same friend has been spreading rumors about you and telling others the confidential information they weren't supposed to share with anyone. You confront them with this and they say to you "i never needed you for a friend anyway. I never did like you, and i don't care that you are hurt by what i've done!" Obviously this is a very extreme example, but just imagine this happened to you. You would, by the values of society, be under no obligation to forgive this person. In fact, you would likely be so angry and upset with them that you wouldn't want to forgive them. That 'friend' of yours most certainly wouldn't expect you to stick up for him/her if they were in a tight situation in the future! Would it be fair for that 'friend' to accuse you of being cruel and unfair of you didn't send them some money when they're under immense financial stress later on??

But this situation is somewhat similar to the situation with God and man. When we fell into sin, we broke that intimate friendship with God and pretty much slammed Him in the face. In light of what we have done to Him, how can we then say that God is cruel if He doesn't save us? In fact, why would God even want to save us from our sin when we've rejected Him all our life?

You could never say there's no love involved for someone to go and die in the worst possible way for people who never did anything to deserve it

Religion has caused many, many problems and wars throughout history. I would say that this in itself is a good example of the battle between God and Satan. Satan knows he has lost the battle through the death of Jesus, but he won't go down without a fight. He wants as many people as possible to go down with him. This is why there are so many different religion and rivalries going around, and this is likely to always be the case. We are sinful and are very vulnerable to believe his lies, so satan will make the most of this while he still has time.

Personally, i would find it very difficult to believe any other God because as far as i know, none of these other gods have done such an amazing thing as to forgive the unforgivable

I would contest your second premise. Counting the number of people who were killed in the wars of the 20th century, along with the millions and millions who were mass exterminated by Hitler, Pol Pot, Stalin, and other ruthless tyrants (often among their own people), I would think that secular violence has been much greater. The mass conquests of Alexander the Great, the Roman Emperors, Genghis Khan and several others had nothing to do with religion. The Japanese were incredibly violent throughout Southeast Asia. Even in the Catholic/Protestant battles of European history, those wars often involved confederations of countries against each other. Many of these European wars were not strictly religious, but were political as well. And if you are trying to discredit Christianity, yet lump in other religious violence from other faiths, that seems a bit self-serving and possibly dishonest. The truth is that mass killing was not even available in the sense that it was before the world wars, because the weaponry was not available for it.

For your first question, it seems that unbelievers are more worried about hell and punishment than Christians. Yet atheists always say that we believe out of fear. In your estimation, would you prefer a god who is just or one who is unjust? If this god has a perfect heaven/paradise, should he allow evil and corruption into it to wreck it? If people reject and despise this god, should he force them to follow and obey him? Should he force people to accept his sacrifice for them? Jesus suffered a horrible execution for you and offers you a place with him, and yet you blame him? That makes no sense to me.

For your third item, the God as portrayed by the Christian faith called me several years ago. He has worked in and through my life through many circumstances. I had many years of misdirection and misunderstanding. I didn't come to where I am in my faith overnight. I had to struggle with my faith to come to an understanding as I now have. God had worked in various ways in my life. I have even tried to abandon my faith as a skeptic for a short time, yet there is nothing else out there.

God doesn't punish anyone, he cannot let sin into his perfect heaven and he gives each of us a choose. Let every man be accountable unto himself to his higher power.

Religion is not the same as spirituality and doesn't require much faith.

Faith means believing in something that is beyond proof and being fully persuaded in your beliefs

It means your all in and not playing it safe just in case. There is no other option and if your wrong, then your wrong.

I am fully persuaded in mind and Spirit that God is real and that Jesus was and is everything the Bible says he is.

Wrong. Pol Pot, Marx, Stalin, Mussolini, Castro, Lenin, Zedong. All atheists, all killed more than religious people combined. I know atheists who've even admitted that. research it.

Wrong. God doesn't send people to hell. Hell is for Satan and his demons. Adam disobeyed God. That doomed all of humanity to hell. God remedied this by sending Jesus. Who died for our sins and made it possible for us to get to heaven if we accepted him. If we don't take the way out he provided, it isn't his fault. We made our choice.

First of all God does exist. We, as humans, can't comprehend the fact that God wasn't created but he created us. He doesn't allow us to think as that of we are a god or are just as powerful as him. And God doesn't damn people to hell. People choose their path in life that leads them to either Heaven or hell. God doesn't make people choose what to do, they choose themselves.

People choose their path in life thats why theres this many problems in the world. Just look at all the warlords this world has had to name a few; Hitler, Osama Bin Laden, and Joseph Kony. These people didnt do what they did Because God made them it is because they chose to. And who are we to judge another human. I am no better than you and you than me.

And Alah, Ra and Zues and any other false gods arent real. Just please trust me BELIEVE in God and Worship him because he made you wake up this morning and he made you have a meal to eat tonight. Just please listen to the FACT that God is REAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Don't sweat it , he doesn't.

Let's all just face it... We don't know everything about the universe, hardly anything. So let's just accept the fact that we don't know and spend our time figuring it all out instead of being all like... "Hey , where did the Earth come from?" " I'm just going to say a god made the universe and everything in it because because that's easier than figuring it out.."

    Haha

because that god did not created the universe nor not something, then what make you imagine that it created himself in first position. also multiverse, is about how this universe branch in limitless quantities of universe by ability of opportunities and judgements making, -each risk that did not ensue, has exceeded off in a diverse universe that spring off from the on the spot of the alternative-
