Because in English, the name of the deity of Christianity is most commonly referred to as "God". Just as the deity of Islam is called "Allah", the deities of Hinduism are seen as manifestations of "Brahman", the Zoroastrians have "Ahura Mazda", and so on. If you want to make the claim that all of these religions are just worshiping the same deity in a different way, fine. But that's just your personal philosophical belief.
