What kind of a song/ poem would this be & what do you think it means?

The lies lying right in front of you

Fodder for controversy, illegitimacy

My intrigue

Maybe I’m just misinterpreting

So intrigued

I’m at the edge of my seat

In the depths of this intrigue

I’ve always been the one benevolent enough to reach toward the one I’m wanting

Update:

Actually, I did not have that song in mind when I wrote this two years ago. I went through a phase where I thought I knew how to write a hit single, I just need someone to auto-tune sing it.

Oh, and it's inspired in part by a book called "Intrigue", but very loosely. I've never had a stalker-ish experience worth speaking of. I think I had a sultrier version of Sara Bareilles's "King of Anything" or something like that in my head.

    I am old enough to be your Daddy so song wise I am in the OZONE and certainly in my Time Machine there, but.....

    in the beginning, the beat was almost exactly like a song that was played in the movie "Remember the Titans"

    Can't remember the actual band, but this is a pop rock song.

    I played around with it and read your poem out loud to the song (what I recall) and it worked pretty cool.

    As far as the poem, very deep and concerning if this is drawn towards you. Hope not, but sounds like you have a stalker or something, or someone who at least has a crush on you?

    I read this with intrigue from ab ovo, and remained so it was that good, but from a poetic structure standpoint, it could use some work. If you want to call this free verse, which I actually like too, then bravo.

    Keep up the good work, not sure I helped much here, but gave it my best shot.
