i need a good circuit simulator?
i need a circuit simulator, free if possible, that could help me with my introduction to circuit analysis class. i couldn't get the software that came with the book to work.

Get LTspice here. http://www.linear.com/designtools/software/ This software is free, but it is an excellent package that is used by students, hobbyists, and professional engineers. There is also a very active Yahoo group. http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/LTspice/

I´ve used Circuit Maker variations, all of them choose license quantity. yet I´m specific you will locate some already hacked. Circuit Maker is fairly straightforward to apply and helps some extremely complicated circuits simulations.

As long as you're doing analog circuits with simple components (resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes, op amps, potentiometers, batteries, etc.), this Java applet is very easy to use:

You can even import and export text files to save/restore progress.

This is a good freebie https://www.circuitlab.com/ You have to register to be able to save your circuits but it's still free.
