Choosing Pair of Political Opposites?
I am working on a conceptual graphic design project for a fictional couple, designing a wedding announcement for a Top Secret Political Wedding. The idea is that two well-known politicians are getting married, but the wedding announcements are confidential and exclusive because the wedding would hurt their careers if it became public knowledge. However, my weakness is politics and history, so I've been struggling with which two politicians I should use. My criteria are these:
• must be well-known to the common person. As this will be a somewhat public project, it need be understandable by the masses, not just the well-educated ones
•they must be opposites in terms of beliefs, party, politics, etc. Two strongly polar people are ideal, the type of couple that is obviously radically different and make sense as opposites
• they must be American
Other than that, anything goes. The pair can be from any time in American history, can be any gender, age, race, etc. I just haven't clicked yet upon the most perfectly opposite couple, and am stumped, and would love some help. Thank you in advance.
