What job should I do before becoming an FBI Agent?

Question

I want to become and FBI Agent and I know I have to complete 3 years of work to be eligable.

I know the common answer would be a police officer, but there is no one hiring where I am.

I am wondering what other jobs I can do that would help me with this?

I'm going to study Criminology and Linguistics.

Not sure where you are from. You can generally obtain a cleet certification without being on a department, doing so would make you more marketable. Also many county officers are volunteer especially on rural areas, any experience you get would be beneficial.

The best career field for an FBI agent is accountant, lawyer or both. They also like commercial pilots.

Speaking a language common in the Middle East or China would not hurt your chances either.

carry on studying Criminology and Linguistics. but you could think about training for the military or the police (even though you said the not taking on keep trying and showing enthusiasm). look up what kind of qualifications they are looking for contact them.
