I would like to know what would be the best decision to make for my father?

FOR SERIOUS PEOPLE AND ADULTS ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello, my father is going through a lot of hip pain and there is no circulation in his right foot, so it has now turned to black gangrene. 1) The doctors in the hospital think it's time to send him to hospice care which is let him completely stop dialysis and just give him pain medication to let him sleep it all off and pass away peacefully, just like you're putting a dog down. 2) Mom and I want him to be healthy continue to do dialysis but want him to become stronger, but he's not becoming stronger, I guess because he is so weak, but 1) his mind is very clear 2) He only cries out in pain when my mother and I visit him, so we're trying to get him off of a lot of the pain meds 3) I think there is something wrong with his hip replacement which the hospital did for him. He doesn't complain much about the foot pain only hip pain. But, mom and I don't want him to suffer anymore, but want him to be alive at the same time.......

Please let me know what you think would be the best way to handle this? Thank you

The first thing I would do is ASK HIM what he wants. He may have already expressed this via a Living Will which would already be on file with his doctors & the hospital. Even if he has a Living Will, his family should discuss with him and his doctors exactly what kind of treatment he would or wouldn't want to undergo to prolong life.

If he also has signed a healthcare Power of Attorney, the person(s) he has designated would have the authority to make healthcare decisions for him should he become incapacitated and unable to make these decisions himself.

Hospitals often have a service by which a family which is having difficulty deciding (or disagreeing) about future treatment for a patient who cannot make his own healthcare decisions can consult with a medical team.

From past experience my dad died from prostate cancer... His last months, days were very painful ... He tried to hide the pain from me because I was 11 and he thought I couldnt understand ... I wanted him to live forever ... Now that I understand what he went through I think he's better than alive since he was in so much pain... Ask yourself if was u in his shoes and so much pain would you rather live or die?

Cells that become oxidized create lots inflammation from the build up of free radicals. This is the result of covalent bonds being broken. Energy is needed for that to happen though and the energy for that is chemical energy.

The reaction that creates that chemical energy is exothermic. Its an exothermic reaction. Exothermic reactions create lots of heat. Its precisely too, that heat that causes build ups of inflammation.

And Inflammation is what causes organs and structures of the body to breakdown. Diseases and conditions like arthritis, alzheimers, cancer (gallbladder carcinoma), vasodilation which can cause hypo-tension, etc. are all the result of a build up of inflammation.

Now do not get me wrong, other things can cause a build up of inflammation. However, limiting the build up of inflammation by preventing cells from becoming oxidized decreases inflammation by a greater degree.

The way that is done naturally is by consuming antioxidants. Which are found mostly in fruits and vegetables. They are the largest and purest source of antioxidants.Cells that become oxidized create lots inflammation from the build up of free radicals. This is the result of covalent bonds being broken.
