Should everyone be required to wear the same outfit?

A lot of effort and resources are wasted on the fashion industry and the only apparent purpose is to create a false positive view of those can afford the most prestigious clothes.

We would all be better off if everyone wore the same jumpsuit and people could demonstrate their individuality by the colors they choose.

Update:

We could have a legally approved pair of shorts and a legally approved swimming suit.

Wow. And people think the government has too much power over our lives..... now.

We might be "better off" : but freedom of speech and expression says we do what we choose and WE decide what makes us better off; not Big Brother.
