Pregnant and going insane?
I'm 36 weeks pregnant and for the last few days/about a week I actually hate my mother! Everything she says sets me on edge, I find myself constantly complaining about how ignorant and stupid and rude and whatever else she is! I also was a smoker prior to pregnancy, and I have never wanted a cigarette so badly in my life and I am eating like a bottomless pit! I'm so stressed and irritable and on edge and there's not really a reason why, I feel like I'm losing my mind. Is this normal or am I nuts?

It's normal.
Congratulations on the quitting smoking, by the way! That's awesome!
Try not to eat like a bottomless pit - if you can manage. Don't know where you live, but if you can possibly get out of the house and sit in the sun, it helps. I used to do that and it really does help relax and calm, especially if it's by a quiet lake or river or beach.
Don't know if it's possible in your case, but try and avoid the calls and/or visits. Fill up your calendar with imaginary appointments and to-do's and let her know you don't have time right now.
She should not be stressing you out - feeling like a buffalo and not sleeping and peeing all the time suck bad enough as it is. You really don't need additional stress.
If it keeps up, tell her she's not invited into the room until after the baby is born - because you need as calm as possible.
Good Luck!
