possible broken foot bone?
i think i might have broken a bone in my foot, about 30 mins ago i droped my ihome on my foot and it instantly hurt, i sat on the floor for like 15 mins and then go up and went to sit on the couch. i can walk on it but i limp because it stings to walk on. it also brused really fast but its a small dark brusie like the size of a plastic bead. i am sitting now and not moving it but its feels like pulsing pain on the top of my foot. i never broke a bone before so i have nothing to compair it too and i dont want to run to the hospital if its not broken because i do not have medical insurance but if i do belife its broken i will go. anyone have a pain gauge to compair it too or a way to see if its broken at home?

It's nt always true that if you break a bone in your foot you will be in tons of pain and won't be able to walk. Last Friday I stubbed my toe on a stool and my foot swelled up and was bruised but I could still walk. I went to the orthopedic and it turns out I not only broke my pinky toe but also broke my 5th metatarsal bone. So now I'm in a cast for a month. So even though you don't have insurance I would go to the hospital and get x rays because if you've broken your foot and don't do anything and it doesn't heal the right way you will have foot problems for the rest of your life.

my son recently broke a bone in his foot by jumping off the couch. we're talking a two foot jump so obviously it doesn't take much. i've also never broken my foot so i don't know what it feels like but i can tell you that all he did was refuse to walk on it. so if you feel like you can't or shouldn't walk on the foot, maybe you should go have an x-ray. at the very least, it could be a crack or small fracture.

you need an x ray. the metatarsals are only small bones and if you have dropped something on your foots its highly possible you've fractures them.
