1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins?

and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.,, But what about the people we have hurt or done wrong? Isn't it just as important to ask their forgiveness as it is God's forgiveness? Or is Gods forgiveness enough?

Yes, it is good to ask forgiveness from others. But man's forgiveness can't save us. Only Jesus can.

    Hey,

God's forgiveness should be enough for you to learn to forgive yourself, but you should asl seek peace with this person if you want them in your life. In a way, if you don't ask for their forgiveness, you continue to be mean to them because they may think that you still feel like you would do it again if you had the chance.

Matthew 5:23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you,

24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

25 Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him...

Therefore, you're relatioonship with God is also limited until you make peace with your neighbor.

    Hope this helps.

i assume you not far from the actuality yet whats the super deal right here? To me, accepting your self as a sinner with the aid of itself is a confession and that's all concerns, then asking God to forgive you even for sins yet to be committed. Numbering them from A to Z incredibly would not help b'cos you will finally end up in greater sin. In prayer, I asked for his forgiveness and mercies, and have by no skill afflicted to point the sins i've got executed. no you are able to! yet returned; what difference does that make? As Paul mentioned, if his movements or something he does would reason a brother to fall/sin then he will placed a stop to it. What i think of we as Christians would desire to understand is 'all have sinned' and we've a sinful nature. yet then focusing on the unconditional love of God, His entire forgiveness and doing His deeds concerns greater.

As Christians, we are happy and peaceable because we have God’s holy spirit, and its fruitage includes joy and peace. (Gal. 5:22, 23) Jesus did not want his disciples to lose their peace and happiness, so he warned them about the death-dealing effects of prolonged wrath. (Read Matthew 5:21, 22.) He next declared: “If, then, you are bringing your gift to the altar and you there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar, and go away; first make your peace with your brother, and then, when you have come back, offer up your gift.”—Matt. 5:23, 24.

The “gift” that Jesus mentioned was any offering presented at the temple in Jerusalem. For example, animal sacrifices were important because they were then part of the worship rendered to Jehovah by his people. However, Jesus stressed something of greater importance—making peace with an offended brother before offering a gift to God.

“Make your peace” means ‘to bring about a reconciliation.’ So, what lesson can we draw from this saying of Jesus? It must surely be that our way of dealing with others has a direct bearing on our relationship with Jehovah. (1 John 4:20) Indeed, offerings made to God in ancient times were meaningless if the one making them did not treat fellow humans properly.—Read Micah 6:6-8.

God's forgiveness is enough. Though you should work to make amends with whoever you hurt, they are not required to forgive you.

Why should God forgive us if we don't first ask forgiveness of the one whom we've wronged?

“Continue putting up with one another and forgiving one another freely.”—Colossians 3:13.

    For you, O Jehovah, are good and ready to forgive;

And the loving-kindness to all those calling upon you is abundant.

    Psalm 86:5

    It depends.

Sometimes it is impossible because people may die, move away, or we may lose permanent contact.

Other times, it may not be practical due to difficult circumstances.

But in situations where it is possible, I think you have to pray and ask God. Sometimes it would be a very nice gesture to ask for forgiveness, to acknowledge wrong, and to admit mistakes to people we've hurt.

Although God recognizes that we are all sinners, he wants to help and is willing to forgive us."Happy is the one whose revolt is pardoned, whose sin is covered.Happy is the man to whose account Jehovah does not put error, And in whose spirit there is no deceit." -Psalms 32:1,2 However, our concept of God would not be accurate if we accept your whole way of looking at sin

Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments:

I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

I believe this is the white robe passed out in Revelation. http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revela...
