i tried to hook up wireless router it does not work this is the second one?

seems problem with the way you are trying to install. 2 new routers cannot be bad, either you are missing something or sorry 2 say but you r not able to follow the instruction to get the router installed.

Did you even try calling the tech support for installation just get the tech support number from the box or at the back of the router they will help you install it.

Two bad wireless routers, I doubt it. It must be in the way you are installing it.

From the modems, (cable or DSL) output go into the input of the router. Don't use an output port.

Run the installation software as instructed, configure as needed or leave it set to the default settings.

Remember your passcode, or WEP security key, and be sure to enter that in the laptop for wireless operation.

Try the Ethernet cable from the router to the computer and see if that side of it works, if it does you have something wrong with the wireless settings probably in the computer. Insure the wireless card is enabled in your computer.

Describe what the problem is. "Does not work" isn't very helpful. Be specific. Did you follow the instructions EXACTLY? Have you ever done this before?
