What is a standard punishment for going 82 in a 50 mile an hour zone plus...?
Not having your license or registration on you? I know that it was idiotic of me, but I had taken out my driving info earlier this week because I needed to give it to my insurance company, and I forgot to put it back in my car. Anyway, I was making a three hour long drive to see my father who has been in the hospital, and was pulled over. The cop looked at my student ID, checked my car in his computer system, and didn't even write me out a warning. He told me to be safe, and let me go. I am so thankful, but I'm curious as to what could have happened if I wasn't so fortunate?
I'm in New Mexico
It actually was a state police officer. It didn't look like he put anything down in terms of a warning, are you sure that it would be recorded in their system? He didn't take long at all at his car, and obviously didn't give me any paperwork at my car...

Depends on your driving record if you kept your license or not but the speeding ticket alone would have been 500 dollars give or take a hundred so you got lucky that time dont do it again

Worse case scenario: 8 points on your license, revocation, $700 - $800 fines and fees, Insurance goes way up. Or spend that much for a lawyer, go to traffic school, 3 month license suspension. You must not have gotten caught by a State Policeman. Just remember that the warning while not reported to the court is still on the police computer system.
