What to do when someone likes you (a lot...) but you don't feel the same way?

It's even worse because he's a friend, and I don't want to lose his friendship, but recently he's been hinting that plain ol' friendship isn't what he's wanting from me. He hasn't said anything directly, but I know for a fact from mutual friends that he does like me, and he's been hinting at it more and more recently. How do I stop this before it's too late??

You need to be absolutely honest with him and tell him how you feel. It may mean that you will not be friends after that, but that is what you have to do. You have to be fair to him, and he is the one who will have to decide if he wants to still be friends.
