What would you do with your dead snake?

Hi Rebecca. I am so sorry to hear that :( That is always hard. I am kinda weird in this regard. I cremate them. It has a kind of, final farewell to it, that I like. A bit ritualistic. And, I hate to say this, all germs are destroyed. I'm not releasing them into the ecosystem either. An R.I. isn't exactly IBD or anything, but, you never know. As I said, I'm weird.

I'm sorry about your boy :( But your suri & brb look great!! And did I see a little Biak in there? Very cool!!

I am so sorry for your loss. I know how much your heart must hurt right now. Give him the most beautiful burial.

I personally am a renter, so I take my lost loves to my mothers and bury them in her garden. I then mark there grave with a perennial plant that makes me think of them. That way no matter where I move, I know I am always able to visit whenever my heart desires.

Lilian (pup) was my family's most recent lost. A leash malfunction allowed her to run in front of a car. We rushed her to the vets, had her there in under 5 minutes. We were too late. Her lungs had collapsed and she died in my arms. We planted a gorgeous pink Lily over her final resting spot. Not only was lily her nickname, but she loved to lay amongst them in life. She is still missed everyday... :'(

Hi Rebecca, I'm so sorry for your loss, your snake was very very beautiful.

I agree with everyone here to give it a special burial. But I also agree with Dave's answer about cremating him to discard the germs.

But just remember you have plenty of other very awesome and wonderful and down right beautiful snakes :) You can even get a tiny little special memory stone or something with his name on it or something if you'd wish.

I'm sorry for your loss. I know what it's like to have a lose a pet that's special to you.

Maybe you could bury him somewhere. That way you would be able to go back to that place every now and then until you're ready to move on.

I lost a baby corn snake a while back for unknown reasons. My mom is a religious person. She decided she wanted to put a small drop of holy water on it, then we put it into a secure box with flowers inside, and burried him in the back yard. He held a special place in My heart and still does.

i buryed my puppy the passed away its still hard on me i put him in a shoe box wit some of his toys treats he loved onw of his 50 blankets i tryed savin him but he was to far gone wit piero tha the meds didnt work i took him to my one friends house i had my ex bury him for me i just stood there cryin over the last of my puppy i have both his collars n the rest of his things put away i only have his fav pillow n fav baby blanket out 9/11/11 will b a yr n i still cant sleep witout something of his sure itll take time to but i no wha ur gooin thou

If he is very special you should bury him in front or near your house. When my friends cat passed away he buried him in his backyard with an American Flag put where they buried him.

Any snake you don't care about you might just want to throw away in a dumpster.

Its really up to you, burying it is your call or not.
