Theories on The Dark Knight Rises?

Ok, I'm not sure if much info has been released as of yet, but I have a few questions about Bane...

Firstly, does anyone know if Bane will be the strategic and tactical genius he is portrayed as in the books?

And second, will he use Venom in the film? Are there any pics or videos out there that suggest that he may bulk up as if he is on Venom? In an earlier comic he swore that he would not use Venom anymore and I am keen to know where this story sits.

And lastly, do you think Bane will "Break the Bat" as he did in Knightfal??

thanks, maybe I just need a little patience and find out for myself... :)

Update:

great answers by all!

@Andrew, I agree. I can see Batman being killed off in this one, perhaps chucked into the Lazarus Pit?

I like John's response. In the Knightfall series, Jean-Paul takes over as Batman and later becomes Azrael, but there is no Robin in the Nolan trilogy either.

I was an extra in the stadium scene. All shots I've seen of Bane in person and on-line did not show any venom being used. I imagine he will be pretty tactical but I don't wanna give away anything that happened at the stadium that day. :)

Can't wait to see the new Batwing and Anne Hathaway as Catwoman in IMAX! 3 months away!

I have not read his comics other then Knightfall and dont remember much if there was Venom used in it or not.

His portayal in Batman & Robin was very weak, for such a major charector at the time it was made, (only a few years after that comic came out), and i PRAY they do the story right.

The posters points to disaster with the broken mask, so i assume it will be a broken back however i havent seen anything that 100% says yes or no.

Problem: In the Knightfall series, Batman had an aprentice, and he hands over the suit to him temporarily. In the Chris Nolan Batmans there is no Robin or aprentice..

So if he breaks him is that the end of the movie?

we'll just have to wait and see.

the movie is gonna be a mix of Dark Knight Returns

    No Man's Land and Knightfall

    I don't know about Venom\

it will probably be an un named drug since these movies are trying to be less comic book like

    Bane will be

in charge of a prison break

I never liked Bane in the comic

    same with Doomsday

just big monsters coming from no where and destroying the greatest heroes

    lame

The pictures I've seen do not show the same Bane we've come to know in the comic books. By comparison, he is relatively scrawny even after the venom. As far as Bane breaking Batman's back, rumor has it that he will. But my overall theory is that Chris Nolan will continue to destroy the Batman legacy with this disappointing franchise.

they will break the bat. I feel they want to end the trilogy and not make a fourth. The series is very popular, i get the feeling they don't want to drag it on to the point where it is awful. They will also probably end it given the inability to bring back the joker, because lets face it no one will be able to fill heath ledgers shoes. A trilogy is a great place to end it, and given the presence of bane, i think they might not just break batman's back, they might kill him off.
