What would happen if I went back in time and killed my mother before she gave birth to me?

That means that I wouldn't have ever existed to go back in time and harm her...right?

    That is the common paradox of time travel.

    However, most physicist don't think such time travel is ever possible. If you were to go back in time, you're actually hoping onto an alternate universe and you are basically killing your alternate reality mom, so you will not exist in THAT universe, but you yourself will not magically disappear because you don't belong to that universe.

    well no you wouldn't exist in the current time [period but she would still be died either way

    this is called a "paradox"

    it's completely & totally IMPOSSIBLE to go backwards in time (that's why we have history books)
