not sure about amazon or craigslist but for ebay it depends on the seller, some will accept checks and money orders, and if there is a item you like you can e mail them and ask if they would accept check or a money order. I have bought items there with money orders,

I don't know about Amazon. I don't trust them. I once bought a book, using my debit card as payment. Very shortly thereafter, my bank account was emptied out! The bank replaced all my money except $50, but I could really have used that money!
Craig's list is usually used locally. Either way, transactions are up to the seller. Often, you will meet with the seller and can agree to terms before hand. Because you will be meeting someone you don't know, I strongly encourage even men to use their heads and meet in a populated public place!
E-bay used to work mostly on a check/m.o. system. Since somebody invented Paypal, not many sellers want to hassle with checks/m.o.s any more. Some will, you need to check payment options on the bottom of the item page. If it isn't specified, you can contact the seller and ask.
I personally love Paypal! It adds an extra layer of security to your online transactions, and saves you the hassle of going to get the m.o. (I never paid with my personal checks!), and having to mail it off. You just click a couple of buttons, then sit back and wait for your item to arrive! I did all the Christmas shopping for my grandkids without leaving my house! It's free and easy to set up, and very secure. If you have any type of bank account, I strongly encourage it. Almost every online store accepts it now (even Walmart). It's a very useful tool, and you really can't go wrong!
Hope this helps!

No it says so right on the web page. Create a Pay Pal account and added what money you need to pay them to that. It's very easy.
