Rather many actually. It's a stereotype of us atheists that we think every single Christian is a hypocrite.

Many Christians are pleasant moderates, though I suppose I live in Europe so we might have a different kind of Christian population than people in the States have.

Yes but all that meant was that I didn't know them all that well. I have never met a Christian who followed all the rules and behaved like the bible and religion tells them to. However most Christians I know have no problem pointing out and condemning to hell all those around them!

My great Aunt Bonnie. The image of a perfect Christian almost. Never pushed religion on others and never judged anyone. She even sang on one of those Sunday Christian radio channels in the morning. She was a very serious Christian but loved all and never said she was perfect. She didn't condemn gays, women who had abortions, or non believers. Truly a lovely woman. Still alive too.

If only all Christians followed her example.

neil: A hypocrite does one thing and says the opposite of it. So if I said "I always use science to back my claims" and then make a claim about God and fail to provide evidence for that, or totally ignore using science at all, then I would be a hypocrite.

We all can be hypocritical about many things, this does not apply only to Christians.

Actually, quite a few. There are lots of Christians out there who really are good people, and really try to practice what they preach. They tend to be a lot more moderate in their views, and never scream from the rooftops like the fundamentalists, and never get in your face about religion.

sure, a Christian who does prepare christianity. basically think of of all of the countries interior the international that declare that they are christian countries, in case you look at their politic leaders they don't seem to be the greater effective occasion of a real christian, because of the fact they're corrupt, consistent with probability they have never been christians and basically desire to pretend that they are.

I never met a real Christian before, just a bunch of fans. The only real Christian that I read about was Jesus, and I don't even think he existed.

    Yes, I have.

Such people generally do not discuss their religion, and treat it as more of a private and relatively abstract matter. Their philosophical stance and beliefs varied widely, but one thing they had in common was that they had a healthy self-awareness. They did not use their religion as a central part of their identity or self-identification, at least not in a day-to-day, public sense.
