Help Me Improve My Game!!!?

I just played a match today and I did okay against a older girl but I had a lot of things going wrong. I was never ready for any of the shots and I was hitting every ball right to her. I know I need to react quicker to get those shots placed better but how? Any drills to help please?! Also I love playing tennis everyday but I have no one to play with so I hit on the wall. What are ways to get good practice time without another player? Last question, how and where do I toss the ball for the serve? I've been getting a lot of mixed answers. Thanks ! :)
