Is it true that if I join a cannabis collective, I can grow up to 99 plants for them?
I am in California and the city code enforcement officer said this is not true because you have to be a direct primary caregiver. And I'm reading stuff about how you need to apply for an agricultural sales license.
However, I just read that if you join a collective, the collective takes care of all of it for you and you can grow up to 99. Either way, I've got the med card and will get the MCCIP card soon. And I'm considering meeting a collective lawyer soon. But any advice here may help me get started.
If we were to grow it, it would be for cancer patients with a anti-psychoactive strain high in CBD.

As a Calif. native, I would personally not recommend growing for a collective. The Federal Govt is having local law enforcement participate in raids on various collectives, clubs, etc. I have a letter from my Dr recommending medicinal cannabis use for my medical conditions, but will not ever get a State ID card or even a club card because I don't want to be in any govt. database. If you do grow for yourself, check your local county ordinances & make sure to follow them to the letter. In our area ALL gardens must have 6' fences around them, have your recommendation posted there, and the fence must be secured from the possibility that children could get access to the garden. Each county/city comes up with different requirements, so do your homework well & keep as low a profile as possible.
