how to mention someone's name in facebook comments?

If my name is Brittany Rose, then put @brittanyrose. When you start to type it in, the name should pop up below. Also- tagging doesn't work on mobile Facebook!

Enable Javascript.

Type person's name.

It should come up with a list of people with their profile pics.

Select person.

That's for a computer.

the @ thing should work if you don't leave a space between the @ and the name, you have to be friends with the person for it to work. With the new facebook layout you can just write the name and a box comes up suggesting whose name you are writing. If none of this works then something is broken.

Well your friend can tag your name in a comment or post it will show up in your notifications and you can see what they've said

Providing you have JavaScript enabled in your browser, you should see a list of people when you start typing a name. Just click one and their name will turn blue and be linked in the comment.

you put it as all one name,

go on the comment

type @John

by this time a box should appear below the comment box with the person you wants picture and name, click it then the name should go blue and a link should me made :)

if the person you want isn't there carry on the name adding a letter each time to the name appears :), btw you need to be friends with them to tag them (i think)

It hasn t been working for me. I see the pop up list and can select it, then it is highlighted w/ a blueish background. However, the instant I submit the comment, it reverts to just the name without any link.

WELL.. you can only do it on the computer and stuff. you usually type @ and start typing the name, and it should come up with a list of people from your friends list and then you click who you want!
