From a Chinese Martial Arts view what is internal power or IP?

Update:

IP can also mean internet protocol (remote distance manipulation of data bodies) or intellectual property.

Update 2:

Do you see those two people here who think they know what IP is and disliked Lion and Frank's answers? NOtice how they didn't quite have the nerve to say something about this matter.

    IP? Funny!

In a nutshell when you can generate power in your techniques without big movements.

A haymaker punch would be strength generated and is not internally. Bruce Lee's 2 inch punch would be using internal power.

In general using your whole body to focus on a point of impact. Lyondancer' example of the 2" punch; others would be the center punch in Taekwando at the end of the sine wave movement. My understanding of it is that Technique using a holistic approach focusing the mind the entire physiology of the movement to the finest detale gives the best performance.
